Stuart Lachlan Bennett (Writer/Director/Producer)
With a career that spans over 30 years, veteran entertainment executive Stuart Lachlan Bennett has a solid background in television and film production. He began his television career in England where he worked as a film editor for BBC Television and graduated from the BBC training program at Ealing Film Studios in London. It was at the BBC where he had instilled in him a commitment to produce world-class films. As an award-winning editor, Stuart has also worked for companies in the USA such as The Discovery Channel, ABC and The Christian Broadcasting Network.
As a producer, director, and writer, Stuart has many film and TV credits to his name. He has produced and directed reality, documentary, magazine and drama productions with international networks such as Chinese Central TV, Russia’s Channel 1 and Japan’s NHK. Stuart served as Regional Director for the Christian Broadcasting Network in Asia where he developed programming for the Asian market and managed television production facilities in Thailand and the Philippines. In addition, he also founded the humanitarian organization Operation Blessing Thailand that continues to provide disaster relief, free medical clinics and fresh water to the region. As an activist, Stuart has worked with Operation Blessing International, A21 and Safe From Slavery on various anti-trafficking projects. He is a board member of Safe From Slavery, which raises awareness about sex trafficking and provides shelter for rescued girls.
Stuart earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree with honors in Film and Television at Leeds University, England and a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Script & Screenwriting from Regent University, Virginia Beach, Virginia. He is Vice President of the Board of Directors of ASSIST News Network, an international news organization.
